Exhaustion and perennially running the (proverbial) treadmill eventually force us to slow down, unfortunately sometimes by getting sick. We attach significance to our inability to keep up--with ourselves and our sometimes punishing expectations. The important part is to surrender to the need to rest and then emerge from the fatigue as your best self. I’m so glad you’re feeling better and published this, as always, candid piece. Looking forward to hearing from you again soon in candor, good health, and your beautiful best self! ♥️
Surrendering that which distracts from what matters...
Big hug, Aly. 🧡
Hugs back, Joanna <3
Damn, it’s so hard to achieve that elusive balance! I’m glad that you eventually gave yourself some grace. Beautiful, Aly.
Thank you, Claudia <3

"Surrender" is a damn good word I am working on more and more.
Your narrative speaks of ‘Here I Am... no chaser. How refreshing your prose.
