Another piece that should be required reading for all college students! We’re so afraid of failure and looking “stupid” that we often forego taking on challenges that tap into our inner dormant strengths. It’s so liberating to branch out and leave the ego on the shelf. Look at all you’ve mastered. You should continue to give yourself daily “attagirl” claps on the back! 🙌🏻💖

Thank you, Beth! (was thinking of your photography as I worked on this yesterday, too) <3

Not my guitar or piano playing? 🥺😂 I still have my two guitars and an upright piano I bought for $150 at the beginning of the pandemic that has been tuned twice but not played much. I haven’t sold any of them because I’m determined to learn. I played piano fairly well MANY years ago! Relearning is definitely not like riding a bike!

Keep writing that book! I can’t wait for its publication date!! 📕🙌🏻

I appreciate this content so much. It came at the perfect time as I evaluate my own relationship to music and make peace with my past / former selves.

Cheers to all the "jangly noisecrap" that means something new is happening! I got anxious just reading this... it's SO much easier to encourage other people to do hard things than to do them myself.

Hmm... I may just have discovered my epitaph! 🤣

Big hug! 🧡

(Also, that photo of Douglas made me smile SO big. I ran into him a month or two ago. He is still the BEST.)

He truly is! With little adorable Douglases running around, too!

Love this Aly :) I can’t count the number of times not immediately being great at something threw me for a loop. Thank you for the reminder to embrace the ol’ beginner’s mindset.
